A Long Overdue Update

It's been a long time since we've posted an update on the blog! It's one of those strange seasons where everything and nothing seems to be happening at once. Have you ever had a season like that in your life? It is the weirdest feeling.

We are still looking for a farm to call home. Many of you know that the lease is up on the farm we are currently residing at, and we desperately need to find a place to continue running our business and farm. I say "desperately need", but God is in control of where we are at during this time and we know that. It is not easy, though. We want to put down roots so much. It would be a consuming objective if we would let it be. Jesus said not to worry about tomorrow. He seems to be putting us through a crash course on actually learning that lesson. Our anxiety and strain and worry has not accomplished one iota of progress on our housing situation. So we are daily having to put it in His hands, present our requests, and choose to live today fully trusting that He hears us, has heard us the past 1000 times we've asked Him about it, and will do the right thing at the perfect time. That is not an easy thing to live out!

Many of you have your own pressures and you know the feelings I'm describing. Hang in there! God will prove Himself faithful.

So despite the fact that "nothing" seems to be happening with our search for a farm (or wherever it is that God wants us to be), EVERYTHING seems to be happening in the world and in our beautiful Country right now! Isn't this a wild time to be alive? I am really trying to view it as a grand adventure, which is a stretch for me since I have never been the adventurous type! Haha! It has been quite the ride and really so many wonderful things are happening, along with all the scary things.

In all of the chaos and uncertainty of the past year or two (in our personal lives, and more recently, the world), we have been putting off many exciting changes and ideas for our business for far too long. We decided right in the middle of the pandemic shutdown that we weren't waiting any longer. We launched many beautiful new items, which have been SO well received! We are so glad we went ahead and took the leap.

One of our objectives in bringing on new products has been to network with and support other American families who are trying to live out their calling and dreams. If we can support another family in working with their own hands and spending more time together, that makes us really happy! Originally we were thinking we would have small seasonal collections of really unique and high quality items, but we have had such an overwhelmingly positive response that we are planning to expand our offerings as quickly as possible. We are bringing on many beautiful (and delicious!) new items on a monthly basis now, and we are planning for a huge holiday collection!

Recently we freshened up the website a bit with a new layout and we are working on updating all of the photography to be even better than ever. We hope you find it to be more user friendly and a visual delight. Please let us know if we can do anything to make it better, or if you come across any bugs in our system.

All in all, we are moving full steam ahead in life and business, doing our part to make the most of each day! Thank you for being on this journey with us. We appreciate you more than you know.

Leave a comment and tell me what's going on in your life, and what you think of our new website and products! I would love to hear from you!

Much love, Loran {for the rest of the Polder Family}
