This incredibly stunning antique handmade copper baking dish just arrived from France. A very rare and unusual piece, it is heavy and very well made. Features hand cut handles and flanges, hand rolled rim and rivets. Simply could not be more beautiful! Some people say this sort of pan is specifically for baking Brie cheese, but it could be used for baking anything. A true piece of artistic craftsmanship. It has been recently retinned and we have painstakingly buffed and polished it. There is a dent in the lid but overall it is in amazingly pristine condition for its age and the dent does not affect its beauty or functionality. It is a very heavy piece-- nothing flimsy about this beauty!
Approximately 12" wide from handle to handle. The baking dish is 7.5" wide at the top and 5.5" wide at the base. 2" tall without lid, and 4" tall including lid and handle. C. 1850 from France.
