An extremely rare and exquisite lidded copper serving dish. Beautifully engraved, with twisted copper ring handles on the sides, and sitting on round copper feet. A true antique treasure, it has been expertly repaired and restored for another season of use. Judging from the style and method of craftsmanship, I believe it was made in the late 1800s or early 1900s and would have been used at the table of a very wealthy family. Very heavy and well made.
Opening is approximately 8" x 12". Dish stands just over 6" high without lid, 6.75" with lid. Approximately 11" long from end to end, including handles.
